Smoggy Hobbit

I was given this bike in pieces by my good friend Johnathan. Johnathan had bought it while I believe in NOLA? After that it saw the world as he moved around for military service. After landing near us, the bike had seen better days, and Johnathan was ready to move on. So it came to the Zeros shop, where it spent some time on a shelf.
After a bit of a hibernation I brought it out and started the process of rebuilding. The frame was pretty sick, with a giant Batavus tank, Streetmate front end, and a stylish but hard seat, and clip on's.
Time to get to work, fist off I added new tires, fresh shocks, rebuilt the disk brake caliper, replaced the master cylinder with a motorcycle version from 4itno1, replaced the brake line with a braided steel cable, and added a nos Streetmate fender (thanks Treats!). Otherwise I wanted to respect the original builders vision so I painted the tank, and left the rest as is.
For the motor I rebuilt the bottom end with a Treats Stuffy crank, DR kit with some exhaust port work, pa50-2 bell with starter arms removed & a one-way-bearing, Treats Dio reed spacer with 6-petal reedblock, I used a cheap dio intake for OKO's up to like 30mm? I used a reducer to bring it down to PHBG/CP spigot size, added a 21mm Polini CP, MlM BK100 pipe, Derbi head with no dcomp, TjT with 12g weights, Polini clutch springs, a stock CDI, Treats belt 4-U, US contra w/yellow spring, Treats contra support, and a Treats pull start.
This was my second Hobbit, and first DR kit. My intention was to learn more about Hobbits, which I think I did. The DR is probably the most used Hobbit kit out there, and for good reason. It doesnt have crazy porting or rev out super high. It just gives solid performance all the way around, Im plenty happy with the 50mph this thing sings at.
