La Monster

This is Shaw's La Monster. 80 Metra Super Large Port on Malossi Race cases, fixed motor with idler tensioner, originally had a home made manual rear clutch, now it's running Doppler rear clutch. This bike will do wheelies and top out over 70 MPH. Frame is an upside down Columbia Commuter.

the idle pulley in the middle there rides on the underside of the belt (i think), keeping tension on the belt so that the variator will work. it's hard to see how that pulley is fixed in any of the pictures, but i think that's how it works. i remember seeing this thing blast by me at one of the flock yeah rallies, but i never got a chance to check it out. super stoked it still exists!
