Jbot Subframe Hobbit

As the name implies this is a Hobbit that I used Jbot's subframe mod on. I didnt want to cut and weld the subframe mount on this clean little Hobbit that I got from fellow Zero Brian F. So what is one to do? Well the answer is some pieces of metal and a few bolts! This raises the profile of the bike, giving you access to intake, without drastically changing the ergonomics of the stock bike.
Motor time, and boi did I go through it on this one.....I started with a Stocko kit, which as all stocko kits do, it seized. Ya I saved it and it ran fine, but I was pissed. So I tossed a DR cylinder with the upgraded Treats piston on. I have already ran the DR so I wanted something different, I also ported the shit out of the exhaust. Then came the series of carbs, 15 sha on a stock reedblock, vm18 on a Treats Dio spacer (this would have been fine but the reducer I use on the OKO sized Dio reed intake was just to big to properly seal the spigot mounted vm18). The 15 SHA had pooling issues on the stock reeds, VM18 well see above, so what is a boi to do? Well I had that giant god damn intake so the answer was TM24. Was this a bad call? We will see. The rest of the motor is a Treats stuffy crank, stock cdi, pa50-2 clutch bell with shoes removed & a one-way bearing, TjT w/12g, Treats PMI pipe, Treats 4-u belt, stock US contra w/yellow spring, and full LED lighting. Now back to that damn carb, its tuned great, really rips, IDK which is louder, it or the pipe. However, starting this god damn thing on a Dio reedblock is a bit tricky, despite it being tuned perfect the velocity to start is just off. Pulling that much air on a quick pull just doesnt do it. Thats where the one-way bearing comes in, it starts right up when pushed 3-5 feet if cold. After that the pull start starts first try every time. Why? Something something velocity.
Whatever, this bike def hits harder then my other DR powered Hobbit, lifting the front wheel as the powerband comes on. Hey another fun Hobbit that drains that gas tank faster then a Zero puts pounds a shitty beer.
PS: I wish the front fender took tires bigger then 2.25in....
