top speed as it sits right now is 55 (gps'd). that's with an unmatched athena kit (a crime, I know) and the stock carb with 92 jet

Yeah, I definitely considered keeping it like that. Would love to see that scheme on another bike!

Your mock-up just gave me an idea, chromed frame and subframe, yellow fenders, perfect.

Hmm. not really, like I mentioned above I had to bend the baffle on mine a little bit to get it to fit and not hit the side covers/kick stand. I also thought about cutting like a 1/2 in off the end that bolts up to the exhaust since when I bolted it on the thin flange that's on there just bent. But it's on now and no leaking so ain't messing with it.

Great bike! Any advice on getting my circuit exhaust to go on easier?

Top speed update: 37mph (gps) with notched variator.

It's nice enough - the fit was not great as the kick-stand hits the muffler when it's up; but I just bent the exhaust very slightly and it clears. Top speed (stock variator and at 5000' altitude) is mid 30's. I'm re-jetting (little lower for altitude correction) and going to notch the variator - will repost top speed when I get it dialed in.
