Carrier I

Made by the fine people at HandyBikes USA, the Carrier was a Sachs clone. Legend goes that HandyBikes was going to call their moped the "Challenger" after the space shuttle but was forced to change it after the Space Shuttle disaster. The namesake came instead from the aircraft carriers dispatched to retrieve the pieces of that fated craft. Other than that, many modifcations were done to the stock 505b frame with the engine mounts be reinforced, a 505D engine transplanted after numerous rebuilds, different seat and multiple rewires of the electrical system. Despite all that, it was largely a stock bike.
