Simson Habicht

BUILD DESCRIPTION

Bought it for a trip me and a friend would make this summer. From Netherland to Berlin, and then trough formal East Germany. I bought it in a mehanical sound condition, but the rest was so so. Sandblasted all the frame parts, spray painted it in the colour closest to original. And then bought all the missing parts. The engine is good as new, with a blue-printed cylinder. The plans are to keep it as original as possible, however gaining some extra speed is always fun.

Jan Sander Huiting: Thanks! But we already finished the trip a few weeks ago, the first two pictures are in front of the Berliner Mauer and the old Trabant factory. Even got the opportunity to complete my moped with original parts from a Simson "dealer" in the old Simson factory.

Ingo Bousa: Awesome. I had a blue/white Simpson Sperber when I lived in Berlin in the 90's. That's the model between the Schwalbe and the Habicht. Good luck with your trip! : ]
