BUILD DESCRIPTION

This bike belonged to my late friend/bother/mentor Rick Bielec. After his untimely passing many of his old unfinished projects came to reside at the Zeros shop here in Toledo. While most of his bikes were Mobys, hence his nickname, Moby Rick, this 103 was tucked away in one of his many sheds. Once it arrived here I decided I would rebuild it using some old parts that he had worked with. I rebuilt one of his old motors, used some strange reedblock he had ported out to match the reed port on stock 103 cases (it uses Morini/v1l reed blocks), a Kenji Pump pipe, 14-14 Sha, Le Partie timed at 1.6mm BTDC, skinny boi 2.0 tires, clutch'd er3, stock crate motor top end (Ramsey 50cc) I was going to build this into another ripper, but keeping Rick in mind I thought stock-like and fun seemed more his style, so thats what I did, it will hit 40mph with a tailwind, you cant help but smile while riding it. Every time I fire it up I think of Rick belly laughing at me with my stupid cafe' bars, I miss Rick, and its good to keep a piece of him with me in this bike.
