Motor scooter turned Moped?

 
Luke Stroehlein: I'm not trying to discourage you here, I'm just being realistic. For the amount of money and time it will take to make that a proper gas powered scooter that could handle the speed/torque/vibration of an engine you might as well get a real moped like a Puch or Motobecane with a ton of easily available parts. Also understand that what you have there will NEVER be a moped. Mopeds are small motorcycles with pedals (Mo-Ped, ya see?) that is a scooter. If you're stuck on having a scooter get yourself a goped. I'm just saying this because I converted an electric scooter once and it isn't worth it, sell it as is and buy something gas powered
