Lee's Moped's of Los Angeles moped GP track bike. Frame to be all hacked. Aluminum tank seat. Gnarly GILA with Tillotson on top. See you at the races. So this made it into the truck on the night of the 12th, but barely. I only had about 60 feet of run time on it before I actually hit the track the next day. It took a full day and a half to learn how to ride it but this thing was bitchen. The straight cut gears I worked on for seven months performed perfectly! Nothing moved side to side and upon opening up the trans, I found my shims were like new. I actually ended up running a smaller, (16mm) Tillotson clone instead of the bigger 360A all the big boys use in their Derbi's. Other than a cracked intake manifold that leaned me out, I really think smaller was better on the Gila. The bike now sports a 1977's cast Gilardoni manifold thats been adapted to run these types of pumper carbs. The Super Clutch upgrade I did for this bike worked just ok. The springs suffered from major heat sag I think and basically shrank in length. Hopefully I find a better solution. Thanks to Elliott Giffis for the project! Dan from 1977 for the stuff to test here. Tyler B. for telling me it looked pretty. Dead Possums and Lucky Two strokes for being quiet campers. Mike for being HONEST!, Ryan Polini and James Culver for making me weld all their seat pans last minute. MOPED GP 2016
