CampHobbit

BUILD DESCRIPTION

I camp a bit in my VW Bus and thought adding the Hobbit made a nice rig. Considering a CDI ignition and a decent pipe on the Hobbit. The bus has the very same mods. Might try knobbier tires too. I'd like to paint it and the trailer to match the bus. The trailer is an '83 Coleman VersaTrailer. Air Cooled, 8 wheels, 5 cylinders, sleeps 4. I love this rig. Update: Well, apparently I couldn't resist messing with this one too... The hideous headlight has GOT to go. Added lower bars, lowered the seat and added longer/stiffer rear shocks. Might mod the airbox for better carb clearance/options. Looking at a different tank too. Why leave it stock? Right? 12-4: Added 17 X 2.75s. Definitely will have to work on front fender and might have trouble with finding a balance where the belt is properly adjusted and the rear tire will fit in the swing arm. Maybe a slightly longer belt? The tire fits if I adjust it all the way back, but the belt will likely be too tight. Looks cool though. I'm thinking I want longer, meatier front forks.

Motogami: I had a '72 VW Campmobile. Hobbit would have been the perfect companion.
